A lot of luxury was packed into the limited footprint of the original bathroom of this 1922 Colonial. By eliminating an unused chimney running through the bathroom, we were able to make the space feel more open and allow for minor modifications in layout that had a significant impact overall.

The new floorplan nearly doubled the size of the kitchen, drastically increasing storage and counterspace, and allowed for a large center island to become the focal point. Custom touches set this project apart, from the built-ins and mantle surrounding the new fireplace to the custom cut slate tile lining the bathroom and entryway floors.

What to Keep in Mind When Making Your Final Decision

1. You should expect open communication at all times and a contract that clearly lays out the project scope, timeline and payment terms.
2. Only hire a company that is licensed, insured and provides workman's compensation.
3. Make sure you truly trust the contractor or company as a partner in your project. If something were to go wrong, would they make it right?
