West Park Design + Build Remodeling
With ill-defined borders, the Cleveland suburb of West Park is the area west of 117th Street to the Rocky River Reservation. This historic community consists of four neighborhoods: Jefferson, Kamm’s Corners, Riverside, and Puritas-Longmead. Flooded with historic homes, homeowners in this area put great emphasis on preserving the quality and craftsmanship that makes them one of a kind.
West Park has a very interesting history. A 600-acre farm located in Rockport Township (which is now the city of Rocky River) was purchased in 1842 by John West. This farm had a large man-made pond and resembled a wooded preserve which earned it the name “West’s Park.” John West was not the original settler of this area, rather he created the estate from which West Park took it’s name.*
Undertaking projects in houses a part of this community should be well thought out, planned, and executed with proper industry expertise. Please view this master bathroom project spotlight (below) and see how we can create the space of your dreams all while preserving historic character!
historic home bathroom remodel
A lot of luxury was packed in the limited footprint of the original bathroom of this 1922 Colonial. By eliminating an unused chimney running through the bathroom, we were able to make the space feel more open and allow for minor modifications in layout that had a significant impact overall.
With a cast iron tub and tile extending from the shower to a beautiful tile wainscot adorning the perimeter, custom built vanity, heated tile floor, and heated towel bar, this bathroom included all the upgrades the clients longed for while maintaining the original beauty of the time period of the home.
